Prairie Fire is a song on Marty Robbins's 1960 album More Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs.

Prairie Fire starts off with the narrator stating that they are taking a herd of cattle out to Omaha to hopefully sell. They leave on a September day in Broken Bow. Due to the harsh weather conditions, such as it being a hot and dry day, a prairie fire breaks out in the prairie they are going through. The crew desperately try to escape this fire by crossing the Platte River which will put the fire out. Every member of the crew dies to the fire except for the narrator.
